How to read a dilution ratio

A ratio of 10:1 means 10 parts water to 1 part product. Some labels write it as 1:10. It is the same mix, and the larger number is the water.

In a 32 oz bottle, 10:1 works out to 2.9 oz of product and 29.1 oz of water. Ounces and gallons are US fluid measures.
